Silver Jubilee Celebration of VOICE

"VOICE launched their Silver Jubilee Celebration on 27th February 2008. At the same time Mr. Bejon Misra has also completed 25 years of his service in the Consumer Movement. In a function held at the beautiful Gulmohar hall of the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, Smt. Shiela Dikshit, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi praised VOICE as well as Mr. Bejon Misra for the excellent work that they are doing in the Consumer Movemnet. Besides, she also called upon him to work towards creating awareness about the Public Distribution system to the uneducated and illiterate citizens since they are being put to lot of hardships by the authorities as well as the Fair Price Shop owners. The meeting was also addressed by the eminent consumer activist Prof. Manubhai Shah, Chief Information Commissioner Mr.Wajahat Habibullah, Mr. L.Mansingh, Chairperson, Oil and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, Dr. Amit Mitra, Secretary General, FICCI. Dr. Sriram Khanna, Managing Trustee, VOICE welcomed the dignatories and Dr. G.Sundaram, Member, VOICE Board and former Secretary to the Government of Indian gave the Vote of Thanks."


"Mr. Bejon Misra has been requested to make a presentation on CCEA before the Forum of Regulators about CCEA in the meeting being held at Ranchi on february 29-1st March 2008. He will be making the presentation on 1st March 2008 giving the progress made so far in the setting of CCEA and also the future activitities."
